Autumn

All the seasons have their own glory, but I have to say that Autumn is my favorite...

God paints the pallette of our earth during Autumn with colors so vibrant and so beautiful, with oranges, reds, golds, and browns.

Nature always seems to have a lesson from our Lord, and Autumn is no exception. While the leaves turn these glorious colors, they are in fact dying. Soon the wind will blow them away, as they lose their hold to the tree that once nourished and protected them.

While death may cause us to mourn, it is in fact the gateway to eternal life, if we know Jesus as our Lord and Saviour. Jesus died on a cross, but was resurrected in three days to take residence in His glorified body, which would never experience death again.

What can we learn from this? That death will not be able to forever torment the children of God. The Bible sums it up like this:

54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
I Corinthians 15: 54-55

Because He lives, we live.

What a beautiful reminder to not only enjoy the season, but to revel in God's wonderful plan.
